And if you literally meant that you can use any car then it's not the case in ranked MP. By saying "You can drive any car in any race, its just boring" do you mean that you don't like the fact that you can tune any car to fit into most classes? Because i'm fine with allowing that just for the sake of giving players freedom to use their favourite cars in more events. Those are some interesting arguments but let me ask one thing since i'm not sure if i understood you correctly. I play it for 15 mins, every now and then, then I always get that same thought of "why am I doing this? Its just pointless" and alt f4. Shame they dont use that to make an actually good street racing game. All it has is the, admittedly excellent, driving model for an arcade, graphics and sound effects. The game has no character, it has 0 charisma. Ok no car game has even decent plot but still. Cant break immersion any better than that, really. Literal slot machines to get free cars or unlock outfits.

And you cant influence the world like you can in real sandbox games. Everything is meaningless because theres no direction in the game, absolutely none. The cars you get are meaningless, cars you buy are meaningless, upgrades are meaningless.

Level scaling (or car scaling in this case) also contributes in ruining the immersion. You can drive any car in any race, its just boring. There's no progression, you get hypercars 20 mins in the game (or 0, theyre just given to you for free right from the beginning). A product, in the most consumerism sense of the word.
